Holly Robison, E-RYT 500, began her yoga journey while pregnant with her third baby. She immediately discovered the physical, psychological, and emotional benefits of having a yoga practice. With over 800 hours of training, her classes offer a mix of encouragement, enthusiasm, love, compassion, and humor through use of asana, pranayama, meditation, mindfulness, and relaxation techniques.
As Owner and Director of Sundara Yoga Shala, Holly’s yoga vision and inspiration expands. Bringing her strong influence of alignment and personal empowerment to this teacher training program, she encourages her students to tap into their natural intuition and notice the subtlest of physical cues while they learn how to guide a safe, authentic yoga class of their own.
Holly is a mom to three magical beings (and a grandma to a strong-willed baby girl!) who are her greatest teachers. She loves to continue her learning about all things relating to yoga, Ayurveda, anatomy, herbology, and natural healing. As a family, Holly and the crew enjoy camping, playing, goofing around with their pets, and spending time with friends.
Cheryl McMurray began practicing yoga in 2012 when a friend opened up a yoga studio a few miles from her house. It took some prodding, but she finally took class to support the business of her friend. After the first class, she was hooked. Not too long after she met Holly at that same studio. Once Holly opened Sundara Yoga Shala, Cheryl came to help at the front desk -- and with Holly’s gentle encouragement, she enrolled in the Sundara Yoga Shala Teacher Training Program.
It’s been the beginning of amazing journey for Cheryl -- watching her own students progress in their practices as well as overcoming her own teaching insecurities. Coming from a background of long-distance road cycling and backpacking (and having sustained her own share of injuries), Cheryl's interest and passion of anatomy was born through the school of hard knocks. She loves the amazing miracle of the human body and its ability to heal itself. Her trainings include 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training through Sundara Yoga Shala, Yoga Tune Up® certification, The Roll Model® certification, 20 hour Yoga Anatomy Training with Tiffany Cruikshank, 20 hour Tom Meyers Anatomy 101, and 20 hour Annie Carpenters Smartflow Yoga Certification.
