And if you're already a yoga instructor and are looking for classes for your necessary continuing education credits, all of these classes count towards those hours.

Yoga Asana Intensive
If you've ever wanted to deepen your yoga asana practice but didn't want to commit to a teacher training program, this workshop series is just for you! You will join the crew participating in Sundara's 200 Hour Teacher Training program, together learning over 60 yoga poses.
*From the feet to the head, discover what each body part does in the poses. *Need to modify? Great! We'll show you exactly how to have the poses work perfectly for your body. *Learn common errors and misalignments, as well as contraindications for each pose.
And because Ayurveda is such an important part of our program, you'll learn how each pose impacts the doshas according to Ayurvedic principles. If that sentence made your head spin, don't worry! You'll understand what all that means in no time. Please note that this series does not cover sequencing, class level distinctions, or other areas necessary to learn how to teach. It is to be used strictly to deepen your own personal practice and is not in-depth enough to substitute the complete teacher training program.
Understanding how the human body works, especially in relation to what we do in an asana class, can be exciting to some, confusing to others.
In this workshop series you'll: *get the opportunity to learn what happens to our bodies through our yoga asana practice *discover body systems, muscles, bones, ligaments, tendons *learn about common physical injuries and how to modify your asana practice to nurture your body as you build strength
Not only can this series help your personal practice -- it will give you a solid foundation and understanding of the body, which is extremely useful when dealing with medical providers for yourself or loved ones.

Surya Namaskara/Bandhas Weekend Workshop
Saturday, September 16th, 11a-5p Sunday, September 17th, 12p-5p
In this workshop we'll break down the Sun Salutations -- Ardha Surya Namaskara, Surya Namaskara A, Surya Namaskara B, and Surya Namaskara C -- learning them in detail, as well as how to modify for your body's needs. We will also learn about the four main bandhas, or energetic locks, including how and when to apply them in your meditation and asana practices.

Ayurveda Weekend Immersion

In this weekend workshop you'll: *Dive deep into yoga's sister science, which predates Traditional Chinese Medicine *Identify your body's natural constitution (your dosha), as well as discover any possible doshic imbalance within you *Learn how to adapt your lifestyle, eating habits, and yoga practice to bring your body back into balance *Understand how your foods and activities can positively impact your health and well-being
Join us for an AyurYoga asana class led by Holly Robison on Saturday, October 14th from 11a to 12:20p, followed by our Ayurveda lecture led by Jodi Kirtley from 1p to 6p.
On Sunday, October 15th Jodi will be providing lunch when we arrive at 12p, then we'll continue our lecture until 5p.

Meditation and Pranayama

Having a meditation and pranayama practice can greatly improve your health and mental well-being. In this workshop we will discuss many different ways to meditate, with the hopes that you will find one that will inspire you to take time each day to recharge your spirit. We will also learn several of the most common pranayama, or breathing, techniques to enhance your meditation and asana practices.

Mantra and Mudra
Tuesday, October 3rd, 7:30p-10p
Mantra is a Sanskrit word that means instrument of the mind. It is a word or sound that is repeated to assist concentration in meditation. A mudra is a hand position that has an effect on the energy flow of the body. Together, they can create a powerful transformation in one's own being.
In this workshop, you will learn powerful mantras and mudras, their meanings, their effects, and how they should be chanted to aid in concentration during meditation and to elevate your asana practice. Yoga Sutras Workshop Series
Understanding the Yoga Sutras by Sri Patanjali can be a daunting task. Join us as we read this comprehensive book, then discuss each section, or Pada, as a group to help digest these ancient teachings. Studying these Sutras can have a profound impact upon your life, especially as we deeply explore the 8 Limbs of Yoga.
