Roll & Release If you were to combine a massage and a yoga class, this is the result. This class involves some self care massage using the Yoga Tune Up Therapy Balls, a little anatomy, and a bit of movement to target those specific muscles. It is appropriate for any student at a level 1 or higher.
Therapeutic Flow Through a deep connection with the breath, this all levels class offers therapeutic flow sequences as well as incorporates meditation into the practice. And while it's geared towards students with injuries or trauma, it is also wonderful for those looking for a more therapeutic class for overall well being.
Roll & Flow Combining the delicious massage work of the Yoga Tune Up Therapy Balls with a Level 1 yoga class, Roll & Flow will give your body just what it needs to work out those kinks.
Level 1 Learn a broad introduction to a variety of common yoga poses with an emphasis on proper alignment. Whether you are new to yoga or a seasoned yogi, this class will help you understand the finer details of each pose. You will move in a steady pace with pauses to rest and reconnect. This class is appropriate for those with physical challenges or those who are pregnant. No previous yoga experience is needed to enjoy these classes.
Yin Yoga Working with the connective tissues of the body (such as the ligaments, tendons, and joints), this class, while relaxing, can sometimes be intense given the longer holds of seemingly passive poses. Often the anatomical focus of these poses are in the hips, lower spine, and pelvis. This class is *not* a gentle or restorative class, even though there isn't a lot of movement. You will work in ways you may not have before.
Core Strengthening Most people think strengthening the core means just doing a ton of crunches and calling it a day. That is far from the case! There are many muscles that make up the core of the body -- from the abdominals to many back muscles, and even the glutes and diaphragm. In this class, you will learn how to isolate these groups, then discover ways to strengthen them and stretch them out.
Level 1-2 For yogis looking to progress from Level 1 to a Level 2. Asanas may be be held longer to deepen the experience in each pose. The aim is to refine the basics while introducing new and elaborate asanas. The pace will be more fluid, and the transitions of each pose will be quicker. Students should feel comfortable participating in a Level 1 class and know the overall foundation of common poses as well as their modifications.
TRX Strength Building TRX is a suspension training system that uses nylon straps to offer support and resistance while building strength, toning muscles, and stretching out the body. This is an intense class filled with complementary movements to build on a yoga practice. Modifications will be offered, but students need to be able to get up and down off of the ground on their own to take this class. ***Space is limited, so pre-registration is necessary.***
