Meditation Have you ever longed to have a mediation practice but didn't know where to begin? Maybe you already have one but are looking for ways to mix it up or deepen your practice. In this class you'll learn many different ways to meditate -- from Japa to moving and everything in between. You will also learn how you can take your meditation practice to another level through pranayama (breathing techniques) and mudras (hand gestures). Bring some peace and calm into your life. You deserve it.
Gentle Stretch Surrender into this gently-paced class to soothe and relax your body, mind, and spirit. You'll be introduced to gentle stretches and maybe even a bit of restorative yoga to help you decompress even more. Move softly, release gently, and feel at peace for the rest of your day.
Roll & Release If you were to combine a massage and a yoga class, this is the result. This class involves some self care massage using the Yoga Tune Up Therapy Balls, a little anatomy, and a bit of movement to target those specific muscles. It is appropriate for any student at a level 1 or higher.
Stretch 2 We all know the benefits of daily stretching and relaxation. In our Stretch 2 class, we'll blend our Gentle Stretch class with our Beginners class, but taking it down just a notch. You'll stretch out while sitting and laying down, as well as possibly moving on all fours or even doing some soft standing stretches. Individual modifications will be taught to help your body stay safe and happy. And while everyone can benefit from this class, you do need to be able to get up and down off of the ground on your own.
Level 1 Learn a broad introduction to a variety of common yoga poses with an emphasis on proper alignment. Whether you are new to yoga or a seasoned yogi, this class will help you understand the finer details of each pose. You will move in a steady pace with pauses to rest and reconnect. This class is appropriate for those with physical challenges or those who are pregnant. No previous yoga experience is needed to enjoy these classes.
Yin YogaWorking with the connective tissues of the body (such as the ligaments, tendons, and joints), this class, while relaxing, can sometimes be intense given the longer holds of seemingly passive poses. Often the anatomical focus of these poses are in the hips, lower spine, and pelvis. This class is *not* a gentle or restorative class, even though there isn't a lot of movement. You will work in ways you may not have before.
Flow 1 Get a little more movement in your body with this fluid class. You will flow from one pose to the next while still learning the foundational elements of each pose. Breathing techniques are also an integral part of this practice as you learn to sync your body and breath through each motion.
Core Strengthening Most people think strengthening the core means just doing a ton of crunches and calling it a day. That is far from the case! There are many muscles that make up the core of the body -- from the abdominals to many back muscles, and even the glutes and diaphragm. In this class, you will learn how to isolate these groups, then discover ways to strengthen them and stretch them out.
Level 1-2 For yogis looking to progress from Level 1 to a Level 2. Asanas may be be held longer to deepen the experience in each pose. The aim is to refine the basics while introducing new and elaborate asanas. The pace will be more fluid, and the transitions of each pose will be quicker. Students should feel comfortable participating in a Level 1 class and know the overall foundation of common poses as well as their modifications.
Flow 1-2 One of our more challenging classes for sure. You'll move quickly from one pose to the other, yet still take some pauses to understand the dynamics of more advanced poses which could include inversions and arm balances. Bring your towel, because you will sweat. But you'll love every minute of this class.
